Arusha National Park
Stunning walking safari
Day one and time for our first National Park safari! Prepare for an exciting beginning as we meet our guide and journey towards Arusha National Park. Our first day of safari unfolds in this renowned park, celebrated for its distinctive blue monkeys and the opportunity to spot the breathtaking Colobus monkeys, exclusive to this area. Additionally, there's the option to embark on a Walking Safari, an awe-inspiring walk through the park guided by park rangers, offering an immersive experience with the wildlife that live here!

Tarangire National Park
Among a thousand animals
Today, we travel north to Tarangire National Park, renowned for its magnificent wildlife, especially during the dry season between June and September. This period sees a remarkable migration of thousands of animals, including wildebeests, buffaloes, and antelopes, congregating around the river in search of water, followed by predators such as lions and leopards. Additionally, Tarangire boasts over 500 species of birds. Later, we will proceed to Karatu, where we will spend the night! Bring your binoculars as this will be an epic experience.

Lake Manyara: A Bird and Wildlife Safari
Safari at Lake Manyara
After we grab some breakfast, we hit the road to Lake Manyara National Park for a day-long safari adventure. This park is well-known for its tree-climbing lions and covers a whopping 390 square kilometers of land. You'll be delighted to find over 400 bird species here, including pink flamingos, pelicans, storks, Ibis, and Egyptian geese. Don't miss the opportunity to spot huge herds of buffaloes and elephants strolling around the park. It's gonna be a wild day!

Ngorongoro Crater and Safari
Safari at a World Heritage site
We'll hop in the jeeps and descend into the Ngorongoro crater for a full-day safari adventure. This place is huge, with a width of 20 km, making it one of the largest craters on the planet! But that's not all - it's also an incredible wildlife observation area, where you can even spot black rhinos. At 2,286 m above sea level, the Ngorongoro crater is surrounded by steep walls, and spans across 260 square kilometers, hosting over 30,000 animals. Can you believe that almost half of them are zebras and wildebeests? It's no wonder why Ngorongoro is recognised as a World Heritage Site!

Discovering the Serengeti
The endless plains
In just a few hours, we'll reach the world-renowned Serengeti National Park, widely recognised as the most popular wildlife sanctuary across the globe. Here, you can witness herds of wildebeests, antelopes, and gazelles following migratory routes in long lines. Moreover, the park is home to the "big five" - elephants, lions, leopards, rhinoceros, and buffaloes. With some luck on our side, we might just see these animals live, just like the ones we've admired in the National Geographic photographs! As the day draws to a close, we'll reach the central Serengeti, where we'll rest and spend the night.

Serengeti National Park
A wild day
We'll set out at dawn to reach the remote North Serengeti's Lobo, where the Lobo Valley is a natural pathway for the annual migration of wildebeests. This area boasts one of the highest densities of lions in Africa, but don't worry, we'll be safe in our jeep while we admire these majestic creatures.
This marks our last day in the park, and we'll cross the entire Serengeti from north to south in search of the animals we missed out on during the previous days. We're determined to catch a glimpse of every animal before the end of our journey! As the sun sets, we'll return to our accommodation in Karatu.

From the savannah to.. Zanzibar!
Visiting Karatu
We'll get a chance to visit the native tribes, the Bushmen, referred to as the Hadzabe or Tindiga by the locals. These tribes reside on Lake Eyasi and are the original hunter-gatherer population from East Africa. Additionally, we'll meet the Taturus, also known as Mang'ati, who still follow their traditional customs to this day.
In the afternoon we move to Arusha to take our flight that will take us directly to the paradisiacal beaches of Zanzibar!

Zanzibar: from the market alleys to the Indian Ocean
The Indian Ocean
Today we'll wake up in a completely different world, surrounded by vibrant scents and colours. We'll wander through the narrow streets, explore the local markets, and interact with the friendly and welcoming locals. We'll leave everything behind at the hotel and head towards the Indian Ocean, armed only with our flip-flops and swimsuits. It's time to enjoy the sun, sand, and sea!

Zanzibar: snorkelling on Kendwa beach
Kendwa beach and snorkeling!
Today is a free day for us to relax and enjoy the beautiful Kendwa Beach. Later, we'll embark on a boat tour through the stunning crystal-clear waters and white sandy beaches. For those who love snorkelling, don't forget to bring your mask and snorkel to explore the underwater world.

Ultimate relaxation
Today is another free day to relax on one of the many beautiful beaches and bays of Zanzibar. You can choose from a variety of beaches that cater to different preferences, from the well-equipped and lively ones to the more pristine and secluded ones.
After experiencing the vast African savannah, witnessing the endless herds of animals, admiring the sunrise among the acacia trees, meeting the local tribes, and enjoying the stunning beaches and clear waters, it's time to bid farewell to Tanzania with what many refer to as the "Africa bug."
