Off the beaten track

The first national park on our itinerary is one of seven UNESCO World Heritage Sites, and we'll soon discover why! This park is located just two hours away from Sydney and owes its name to the eucalyptus forests that cover the area. These trees release a special oil into the air that, when combined with water vapour and sunlight, creates a beautiful blue-gray haze.

Within the park, there are numerous vantage points where we can observe this natural wonder. One of the most famous is the "Three Sisters" lookout. We'll explore this stunning park, one of the most popular scenic spots off the beaten path. Later, we'll return to Sydney to decide together how to spend our last evening in this beautiful city!

Between wine and… cute little animals!

It's time to escape the busy streets of Sydney and embark on a thrilling road trip! After having breakfast, we will gather our cars and hit the road!

Our first destination will be the serene Hunter Valley, a picturesque wine country nestled in the rural hills of New South Wales. While driving towards the valley, we might make a pit stop at a wildlife sanctuary where a ranger will show us how they take care of koalas there. These adorable creatures are becoming increasingly hard to spot in the wild due to being a protected species. However, at some centres created to monitor and preserve them, we might get lucky and see them. We'll also encounter the famous Australian symbol - kangaroos.

Once we arrive in the Hunter Valley, we'll discover the region's renowned specialties: wine, cheese, and chocolate!

After indulging in the valley's treats, we'll hit the road again and head to Newcastle for the night. This vibrant city is renowned for its artistic and trendy atmosphere.
