Itinerary - Exclusive Tanzania: Exploring the Savannah and Zanzibar

On our thrilling first day, we venture towards the captivating Arusha National Park, setting the stage for our inaugural expedition into the wilderness! Prepare for encounters with the captivating blue monkeys and the rare chance to spot the magnificent Colobus monkeys, exclusive residents of this exceptional region. Additionally, seize the opportunity to partake in a Walking Safari—an immersive guided journey led by knowledgeable rangers, providing an intimate connection with the diverse wildlife thriving in this remarkable park!

Today’s journey takes us northward to the extraordinary Tarangire National Park, celebrated for its awe-inspiring wildlife, particularly during the dry season spanning from June to September. This remarkable period witnesses a breathtaking migration of thousands of animals, including wildebeests, buffaloes, and antelopes, converging around the river in pursuit of water, trailed by majestic predators like lions and leopards. Moreover, Tarangire boasts an impressive array of over 500 bird species. Later, we venture onwards to Karatu, our destination for the night! Don't forget your binoculars, for this promises to be an exclusive and truly epic experience.

After indulging in a delicious breakfast, our journey continues as we head towards Lake Manyara National Park for an exhilarating full-day safari expedition. Renowned for its iconic tree-climbing lions, this expansive park sprawls across an impressive 390 square kilometers of land. Prepare to be enthralled by the presence of over 400 bird species, featuring magnificent sightings of pink flamingos, pelicans, storks, Ibis, and Egyptian geese. Keep your eyes peeled for vast herds of buffaloes and elephants leisurely roaming within the park—an adventure bound to be untamed and unforgettable!

We'll embark on an exciting jeep ride, descending into the expansive Ngorongoro crater for a full-day safari adventure. This colossal natural wonder spans an impressive width of 20 kilometers, ranking among the largest craters globally! However, its grandeur doesn't end there—it's a remarkable hub for wildlife observation, offering glimpses of elusive black rhinos. Sitting at a staggering 2,286 meters above sea level, the Ngorongoro crater is encircled by steep walls, stretching across 260 square kilometers and hosting a population of over 30,000 animals. Astonishingly, almost half of these inhabitants are zebras and wildebeests! It's no surprise that Ngorongoro has earned its prestigious status as a UNESCO World Heritage Site!

In a matter of hours, we'll arrive at the globally renowned Serengeti National Park, revered as the ultimate wildlife sanctuary worldwide. Prepare to witness vast herds of wildebeests, antelopes, and gazelles trailing along migratory paths in majestic formations. Moreover, this park proudly boasts the presence of the "big five" – elephants, lions, leopards, rhinoceros, and buffaloes. With a stroke of luck, we may witness these incredible creatures in their natural habitat, reminiscent of the captivating scenes showcased in National Geographic photographs! As the day nears its end, we'll reach the heart of the Serengeti, where we'll unwind and spend the night amidst this remarkable landscape.

At the break of dawn, our expedition leads us to the secluded Lobo in the remote North Serengeti, where the Lobo Valley serves as a natural thoroughfare for the annual wildebeest migration. This region boasts one of Africa's highest concentrations of lions, yet rest assured, we'll observe these majestic creatures safely from the confines of our jeep.

As our final day unfolds in the park, we'll traverse the entire Serengeti from its northern expanse to the southern territories, determined to spot the elusive animals we haven't yet encountered. Our quest remains steadfast—to witness every creature before concluding our remarkable journey! As the sun dips below the horizon, we'll return to our lodging in Karatu, cherishing the unforgettable moments from our adventure-packed day.

Prepare for a unique cultural encounter as we visit the indigenous tribes—the Bushmen, known locally as the Hadzabe or Tindiga—residing along the shores of Lake Eyasi. These tribes represent the original hunter-gatherer population of East Africa. Additionally, our journey introduces us to the Taturus, also recognized as Mang'ati, who meticulously uphold their traditional customs to this very day.

Later in the afternoon, we transition to Arusha to catch our flight, whisking us away to the pristine and idyllic beaches of Zanzibar!

Today marks our awakening in a world brimming with vibrant scents and hues, an immersive experience on the captivating island of Zanzibar. Embark on a journey through winding alleys, meander through bustling local markets, and get to know the locals! As we depart from our hotel, leaving everything behind, our destination beckons us toward the Indian Ocean, equipped solely with our flip-flops and swimsuits. The moment has arrived to bask in the glory of the sun, revel in the soft sands, and embrace the tranquil embrace of the sea's allure on this mesmerising island getaway!

Today grants us the luxury of leisure—a day dedicated to unwinding amidst the breathtaking beauty of Kendwa Beach. As the sun casts its golden glow, we have the opportunity to immerse ourselves in the tranquility of this stunning shoreline. Later in the day, an adventure awaits as we set off on a captivating boat tour, cruising through the mesmerising crystal-clear waters and along the pristine stretches of white sandy beaches. Enthusiasts of the underwater realm, remember to bring along your mask and snorkel for an enthralling exploration of the vibrant and diverse marine life thriving beneath the surface—a snorkeler's paradise awaits your discovery!

Today extends another opportunity for relaxation amidst the diverse array of stunning beaches and bays that adorn Zanzibar. Choose from a myriad of options catering to various preferences—whether seeking the vibrant and amenity-rich beaches or the serene and secluded paradises.
